In the 1970’s a rhino poaching epidemic decimated rhino populations from xxxx to only xxx today. For their beauty, they have paid with their lives. To ensure the survival of this iconic species, translocations took place from the Zambezi Valley to 3 intensive rhino protection zones (IPZ). In the IPZ’s the welfare of our rhinos is closely monitored, we deploy more rangers per km 2 and our veterinary team is on call to respond to any illnesses.
