Continuous improvement in conservation demands the use of emerging technologies. Surveillance technologies in particular assist protected area managers, ecologists and wildlife biologists in making more informed operational decisions for wildlife conservation in real time. Existential threats such as climate change, poaching and deforestation may be mitigated, providing a better chance for future generations to witness the natural beauty we see today.
