ZIMBABWE PARKS AND WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY
HANDYMAN MECHANIC (GRADE C3) x 1 ZIWC

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the above position which is vacant at Zimbabwe Institute of Wildlife Conservation. The incumbent will be reporting to the Administration Officer- ZIWC

Duties (Responsibilities)
  • Accountable for the workshop.
  • Carry out minor and major services of vehicles and equipment at the Institution.
  • Checks the performance of the vehicle and assess vehicle conditions and make necessary recommendations to the Administration Officer.
  • Recommend for Board of Survey and disposal of obsolute equipment and vehicles.
  • Identify and repair exhaust systems, steering systems and attend to minor Electrical issues.
  • Attend to engine faults including stripping ,assembling and installation of engines on body shells.
  • Ensures a clean environment within and outside the workshop.
  • Keeps and update all workshop records and inventories.
  • Submit weekly and monthly reports.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
  • A minimum of 5 ‘O’ level passes,
  • Certificate/ Diploma in Motor Mechanics or Equivalent qualification
  • Apprenticeship in Motor Mechanic or Class one Skilled worker in Motor Mechanics is an Added advantage
  • Good interpersonal skills, mature, openness and collaborative skills,
