Human Wildlife Conflict Management

Human Wildlife Conflict is a mounting challenge which requires urgent attention.

The growing competition for scarce resources between man and beast has far reaching socioeconomic consequences; which in the immediate term is characterized by loss of lives, livelihoods and destruction of infrastructure. The most affected areas in Zimbabwe are the provinces of include Mashonaland West, Mashonaland Central, Matebeleland North, Matebeleland South and Masvingo.

The Authority continues to engage affected communities, building and creating awareness, developing response mechanisms to mitigate the effects and promoting co-existence between people and animals.
